Citrix System Administrator
General Responsibilities
Provide services focused on architecting, implementing, administering, supporting and monitoring Intel-based infrastructures for a variety of multi-tier application solutions leveraging Citrix and Terminal Server technologies.
Troubleshoot, tune, and support 50+ Citrix Servers and 300+ Citrix Desktops.
Frequent client interface requires good presentation and communication skills.
Day-to-day duties include analyzing and making appropriate recommendation for a Citrix Meta frame implementation. Basic duties include software installs, tuning, stress testing, network validation and load balancing. This individual will be responsible for Citrix support to 4 cities in the US and Canada.
Design, optimize, support and maintain all SQL Server database systems.
Reviewing database schema plans and access methodologies to ensure efficient storage and access of information.
Creating and managing all stored procedures across all enterprise systems and MS SQL Server 2000 and MS SQL Server 2005 replication and updated databases.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the performance and integrity of the SQL Server 2000/2005 database environment.
Backup, troubleshoot and implement disaster recovery processes/procedures associated with SQL Server 2000/2005, Exchange 2003, Active Directory, and related technologies.
Technical Responsibilities
Responsibilities includes:
·Strong technical skills in the design and administration of Windows 2000 Server and Windows Server 2003 operating system and Active Directory. Able to analyze and correct faults at the operating system level.
·Strong technical skills in the architecting, implementing, administering, supporting and monitoring of Citrix server and terminal server technologies.
·Strong technical skills in the design and administration of MS SQL Server 2000, MS SQL Server 2005, and Oracle relational databases.
·Knowledge of enterprise storage architectures e.g. ISCSI storage types and networks.
·Experience with Enterprise backup systems like HP Data Protector, Veritas Backup Exec and enterprise backup tape libraries.
·Knowledge about Microsoft cluster technologies.
·Experience administering Blackberry Enterprise Server services.
·Ability to work with enterprise network monitoring tools like HP Openview products and Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM).
Education/Experience
·Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) with an emphasis in relevant technical areas or have more than 3 years administration experience with Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2003 Server in large Microsoft installations.
·Solid understanding of Microsoft enterprise architecture with the ability to function as a consultant to the business during the design of information systems to support business operations.
·Familiar with the concepts and practices described by the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
·Ability to use helpdesk systems as a team collaboration tool in daily work.
·Three to four years of formal IT training in computer science, management information systems (MIS), information technology, or an approved related degree will be preferred or equivalent experience.
·Solid understanding about the implications working in a global company which include remote management, multiple site support structure and where architectural alignment across hub sites is mandatory.
·Used to work with core ITIL processes - incident and change management as a start and do recognize the value of having an inventory as a basic for everything which is being done
