Senior Developer/Analyst
- Analysis, design, and development.
- Evaluates user requests for new or modified computer programs to assist in determining feasibility, cost, and time required.
- Consults with users to identify, assess, and clarify program objectives.
- Responsible for the code writing, testing and documentation of application software in accordance with IS standards.
- Assist in preparing test data for individual programs.
- Convert system designs, as assigned, into detail design specifications.
- Prepare program instructions for medium and high difficulty programs.
- Determine the causes of production program failure in support of the Client Support Group.
- Evaluate and modify existing programs as assigned.
- Evaluate potential modifications to existing programs to accommodate changes in system requirements, while maintaining system integrity.
- Participate with project team members and the system users in the implementation of new systems.
- Conduct user orientation and education sessions when appropriate.
- Stay familiar with company business processes, as well as industry specific trends and new technologies.
- Give direction and guidance to development staff, assist in training.
- The ideal candidate will have a background that includes strong experience in the .Net environment using C#, VB, or other object oriented languages.
- Experience with Microsoft products such as SQL Server, Reporting Services, Analysis Services, and SharePoint would be beneficial.
- Some exposure to a business intelligence project using MS tools, data warehousing, OLAP, as well as PowerBuilder would also be a big plus.
- Good communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of users, and good analytical skills required.
