Sr. DBA - SQL Serve
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Maintenance, support and tuning for GN Hearing Care’s North American SQL Server environment consisting of a mixture of SQL Server versions 2000 and 2005. This is an on-call role.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform daily maintenance and performance tuning tasks.
Participate in project teams in an advisory role.
Ensure data security.
Establish and document processes and configurations.
When appropriate – assist in the establishment of new processes.
Update documents.
REQUIREMENTS:
4+ years experience administrating SQL Server, must include both the 2000 and 2005 versions.
2+ years experience administrating SQL Server in a Clustered environment. Candidates without experience in a clustered environment will not be considered.
2+ years using transact SQL for administration and performance tuning.
1+ years administrating Microsoft Reporting Services (2005 version preferred.
0.5+ years experience with SQL Server Integration Services.
2+ years of experience with Microsoft development tools, including 2+ years of experience with .NET.
Successful candidates will possess strong organizational, and communication skills.
Excellent analytical skills.
Strong drive and willingness to “go” the extra mile.
Willingness to hold an on-call position.
