Lead Developer
Specific Responsibilities:
The Lead Developer position will provide technical leadership to a development team, project managers and internal customers. They will provide project level architecture, design and development while mentoring junior level development staff. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions are key. Candidates should have proven knowledge and experience developing custom .NET web applications using C#.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET and SQL Server.
Technical Job Requirements:
Application Development Skills
- 5+ years web development using C# or VB and .NET Framework 1.1 and 2.0.
- Experience architecting and developing web applications and thick client applications required.
- Knowledge of all phases of system development life cycle required.
- Proven ability to gather complex business data requirements and turn them into applications required.
- Proven ability to manage small to medium size projects.
- Experience creating and maintaining design documentation required.
- Experience in quality assurance processes desired.
- Technical knowledge of Windows security models, groups, roles and hierarchical security models desired.
- Strong application development using SQL Server required.
- Stored procedure creation, debugging, optimization, and tuning required.
- Experience developing in Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS) desired.
- Experience with Microsoft Integration Services (DTS, SSIS) desired.
- Sharepoint Portal (MOSS) experience desired.
- Team Lead experience required on teams of 3 or more people.
- Detail oriented with a thorough and systematic approach to problem solving.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a high energy, fast paced environment.
- Motivated to learn and create new and efficient processes and technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Proactive thinker.
- Self starter/self initiator.
- Ability to lead work in a team setting.
- Ability to mentor junior team members.
- Team player.
- Bachelor’s degree (BSEE, BSCS, BSCE) from a four-year college or university.
- 7 – 10 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
